The IIF2008 delegation safely set off for Yemen on Thursday evening from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport as the group boarded Yemen Airways in anticipation of an eventful visit. The entourage will be making pre-conference business calls at the administrative capital of Sana’a before heading for the coastal cities of Sayum and Al-Mukalla where the IIF2008, that has been merged with the “Industry-Yemen’s Future” Conference & Exhibition, will take place. The President of Yemen HE Mr Ali Abdullah Salleh is scheduled to officiate the Yemeni Industries Conference organised by the Yemeni Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mukalla. Former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been invited as the Guest of Honour while Yemeni Prime Minister, Dr. Ali Mohammed Mujawar, will chair a discussion on Yemen ’s industrial plan. There will be a trade exhibition to promote Malaysian/Islamic products and services.
